Bespoke Wardrobe with Hidden Murphy Bed & TV Media Unit in London, Southwark: A Seamless, Elegant Storage Solution
Our client approached us with a vision he had for over a year of a bespoke wardrobe and TV media unit that would seamlessly integrate into his home without appearing as standard storage furniture. He had envisioned a dark brown walnut exterior with a dark interior, ensuring the final design would resemble a solid wooden panel wall rather than an obvious wardrobe.
The goal was to combine elegance with functionality, incorporating a hidden Murphy bed to accommodate occasional guests without disrupting the look of his home office. And keeping all wires and plugs out of sight for the media unit for a sleek finish.

Hanging Rails: Polished brass round rails by Rothley
Drawer Runners: Blum push-open, soft-closing runners
Hinges: Heavy-duty soft-closing cabinet hinges to support extra-large door panels
Bespoke Wardrobe: Smart & Functional Design
The wardrobe was designed to provide ample storage while maintaining a minimalist look. Key features included:
Sliding and Concealed Doors: The wardrobe doors utilised a custom sliding and pivot mechanism, ensuring a sleek and uninterrupted wooden panel aesthetic when closed.
Hidden Murphy Bed: Since the space primarily functions as a home office, we integrated a Murphy bed that can be concealed behind sliding and pivot doors, providing a practical sleeping solution for guests without permanently occupying floor space.
Adjustable Interior Shelving & Drawers: We incorporated a combination of drawers and adjustable shelves to maximize flexibility.
TV Media Unit: A Matching Statement Piece
To complement the wardrobe, we designed a matching TV media unit using the same Kronospan Fireside Select Walnut exterior.
The unit features integrated cable management, with built-in plug points for the TV, soundbar, and speakers. This ensures no visible cables, maintaining a clean and modern aesthetic.
